Jerry has served 28 years as a pastor on staff at Riverbend Community Church. He has a master’s degree in mass communications from Arkansas State University and has done doctoral work in Biblical Studies at Master’s School of Divinity in Evanston, Ind. He formerly worked as a magazine editor with the Southern Baptist Convention, a newspaper sports editor in Arkansas, and Assistant Athletic Director at Arkansas State. Jerry is an Army veteran who earned the Bronze Star in Vietnam. He has also servied as the Registrar for Christ Theological Seminary in Ormond Beach, Fla. He and his wife Pat have two daughters and eight grandchildren.
