Ephesians 4:11-12 says that the Lord “gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry.” At Christ Theological Seminary our desire is to train the shepherds and teachers to be able to better equip the saints for ministry. We purpose to provide the resources and instruction necessary in partnership with the local church to equip leaders on every level in every type of ministry to fulfill the Great Commission by making disciples, life-long learners, who serve Christ.
We believe that the Word of God should be our sole authority and our primary resource in equipping. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
Our prayer is the same as Hebrews 13:20-21: “Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the Great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
